Introduction
After spending about 7 ½ days on the sea with no land in sight, you hear the excitement building within the passengers. There on the horizon is the State of Liberty! America, the Great Melting Pot, the Land of the Free, is within sight! Everyone around you is excited for various reasons. Some of your fellow passengers have traveled to be reunited with family members who made the voyage in advance to become settled and established in the new country. Others have traveled together as a family, ready to start a new life all together. Still others are running from terrible situations in their home countries and are looking for asylum in the United States. Whatever the reason for traveling this distance, the end is near! Now, each of you must pass through the examination process required for entry into the United States.
